We contribute to environment preservation plants, through our role as specialists in the field of refractories and furnace construction.

Our Refractories Division is a wholesaler of refractories and insulating fire bricks. We provide high-quality products, as a special distributor for AGC Ceramics Co., Ltd. and Isolite Insulating Products Co., Ltd In addition, the Division designs and installs fire-resistant products, and provides design, installation and maintenance service for metal melting furnaces, glass melting furnaces, municipal solid waste incinerators, biomass boilers etc. to major plant manufacturers. We also handle shaped refractories, monolithic refractories, gunning refractories, new ceramic products, and subsidiary materials for steel making. In the field of environment preservation equipment and renewable energy-related plants, we focus on the installation of the necessary refractories.

Fuji Kozai Co., Ltd. is a trading company that specializes in refractories. It has its headquarters in Osaka, and extends nation-wide through its branches and sales offices in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kokura. In the refractories Division, approximately 30 specially qualified salesmen are responsible for both engineering supervision and product sales. They demonstrate their strengths by their competence when called upon to make on-site customer visits. They employ cloud software to operate a nimble Smart Sales System. It makes it possible for them to manage all the diverse engineering considerations in real time and to visualize and share complex information with all the entire Division staff.

In the Refractories Division, we keep an eye on the exponential growth of new technology, so we can seize the strengths of innovative, manpower-saving developments and make timely quality improvements. We make full use of AI and IoT, and have developed “HATSURINO™”, an unmanned remote refractory-materials dismantling device that brings together the application of technologies from different industries. The use of this device improves work safety and efficiency. In addition, the Division is working on quantifying inspections using BIM/CIM (Building/Construction Information Modeling & Management) and using AI to anticipate necessary repairs.
We also developed the autonomous “temmot®” transfer and robot device. Using this robot helps to reduce labor burdens and improve work efficiency at engineering sites. We will continue to promote the application of Digital Transformation and contribute to the future development of Japanese industrial and environment preservation activities.
